We have been designing, developing and maintaining a collection of mobile apps and software solutions for the electrical industry since 2011 specifically for Electricians.

Pro Certs Software Ltd

Over 30 years hands-on experience in the electrical contracting industry within multiple sectors. This extensive and in-depth knowledge, training and expertise has been put to good use for the development of smart electrical apps and certification software’s. This 30+ years of knowledge and experience within the electrical industry is also applied to our electrical blog.

Formed with the goal to utilise the new smart phone technology and develop smart electrical apps specifically for electricians.

Timeline

– 2010

Back in 2010 when mobile phones were becoming smarter and more powerful with the launch of the iPhone in 2007, and then the iPad in 2010, came the idea to utilise this new technology for smart mobile applications for UK electricians.

– 2011

In 2011 Pro Certs Software was launched to design and develop these new electrical apps, and later the software packages.

However, in 2011 the UK was still recovering from the 2008 recession so we were unable to obtain any funding/loans for the start-up, therefore progress has been slow but steady to get to where we are today, 14 years later.

Electrical Apps

The idea for an Electrical App was initially thought of to bring easy access and the convenience of  an “in your pocket” referencing tool with various electrical calculators & charts that an electrician may require on a day to day basis.

Our First Published App

As app design and development was completely new to us, we first started with a few small and very basic calculators such as, Ohm’s Law Calculator, Watts Amps Volts Calculator and a kVA Calculator.

– 2012

In 2012 we released the Max Zs Values app, from there we expanded our collection of apps further.

– 2013

By 2013 we had built a small collection of varying electrical reference and tools apps which we decided to incorporate in to one multifunctional electricians app, this is when the Electrical Tools and Reference App was born.

– 2019

In early 2019 we released our first version of the Pro Certs electrical certification software.

– 2020 – Todate

15 years and counting, we continue to maintain, evolve, support and develop our collection of apps and software packages. We also have a new (BETA) Electricians Forum which is currently work in progress.
